What is the Best Franchise to Open?

There are over 4000 Franchise companies across 75 categories. It is very difficult to know what type of franchise is the best Franchise to open.

Over the past 18 years I have helped more than 500 entrepreneurs start a Franchise business. You might be surprised to learn that there is not “one” Franchise that is better than the others.

The “Best” Franchise to open is the one that fits your needs & wants. It is the one that lines up with your goals. The one that provides what you need and the one that fits your mindset.

Most of the Franchise owners that I have helped over the past 2 decades thought they wanted a particular type of Franchise but after they went through the Franchise Assessment process (link below) they found out that a completely different type of Franchise aligned with what they wanted & needed.

For example, you might think you are interested in a fast food franchise, but if you don’t want to manage a lot of employees with high turnover then you probably don’t really want to open a fast food Franchise right?

Another example, if you want to open a convenience store Franchise but you don’t want to start working early in the morning then opening a convenience store Franchise isn’t for you.

In Franchising you almost need to start with the end in mind. Figure out what you want to do every day. Make a list of the things that are important to you about your business. Once you make that list go through and rank those things by level of importance.

You might find a Franchise that fits 9 out of 10 on your list, but is it critically important that you have all 10 things?

It can be very confusing and overwhelming once you start exploring Franchise ownership. Make sure to keep notes on everything you learn. You will find that your notes will reflect what is important to you.
